Interviews with Jim Kern
by Paula Guerrein, April 2016 & March 2017The first seven videos were filmed in Florida, April 2016, with Jim Kern, a pioneer, trail blazer, visionary leader and organizer for nearly 50 years in the backpacking and hiking community. His accomplishments are many and he's still at work advocating for trails in America with Hiking Trails for America and other organizations when he's not hiking.
HikaNation is grateful for his leadership in their 1980-1981 cross-country journey of 4,300 miles that eventually lead to the development of the American Discovery Trail.
