The HikaNation Raft

Located in the Glenn Canyon National Recreation Area,
the dam that formed Lake Powell covered 1000 foot canyons
below the water line; canyon walls rise another 1000 feet above
the water line  -  July 21, 1980.

From the Squaw-Papoose Rock landmark and using the Sundance Trail,
it was several miles to the rim of Dark Canyon; and then approximately
one steep mile down to the stream running though the Dark Canyon.
